Race #3 takes place at Crystal Cove State Park, which is located five miles south of Newport Beach and/or five miles north of Laguna Beach. The race features two distances - an introductory 5k trail run and a longer 17k trail run for the more experienced runner. This all takes place on fire roads and single track trails in the El Moro area of Crystal Cove State Park. Race field is limited, so enter early.

All participants get a great (seriously, it's not a plain white one) race t-shirt, cool finisher medal, hot breakfast/lunch with all the fixin's, coffee, entry into the raffle of swag, and the satisfaction of completing one of the best races around!

Please note that the 17k course closes at 11:00am, and the 5k closes at 1:30pm, so you must finish before then!

The event is postponed from January 24, 2010 to February 28, 2010. Both events are sold out. There is not a waiting list. Please do not show up expecting any registrations on race day or bandit the race. The Parks watch our attendance very closely! Please do not put the event in jeapordy!

There will be optional packet pick up on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at REI-Huntington Beach from 2pm - 5pm.

YOU MUST BRING PROOF OF REGISTRATION TO PICK UP YOUR BIB! This includes: active.com email, credit card statement, canceled check or email confirmation from Generic Events. No Exceptions! The issue is that we getting more and more people from show up who are not on our registration lists. If we do not have a bib for you and cannot provide this information to us, we will charge you for the race and refund you when you show proof of your registration and payment.

Due to park recommendations, we will be staggaring the starts of the races to limit our impact in the park. The 5k will be Sunday afternoon. The start will be at 12:00pm.

We recommend that you arrive 1 hour before start of event to allow adequate time for parking, packet pickup and warmup.

The event is at Crystal Cove State Park, just 10 minutes south of Newport Beach in Orange County, CA. The park is located off Pacific Coast Highway between Corona del Mar and Laguna Beach, California with easy access from I-5, 405 and 73.

From the 405 South, take the 73 South to Macarthur Blvd. Take this to PCH and go south to El Moro/Crystal Cove State Park. Turn left into the park and follow the signs! Parking is now $15.00 at the State Parks. Correct change is appreciated. Support your State Parks and park in the lots (and don't park in the dirt)!

From South OC - take PCH to the Park. Or the 73 Toll Road if you wish (exit El Toro and take this to Laguna Beach). Once you reach PCH - turn north to Crystal Cove State Park.
