XTERRA Point Mugu

This race will mark the the kick-off to the XTERRA SoCal 2017-2018 series! The event takes place on October 1, 2017 in Point Mugu State Park in Malibu/Oxnard, CA. This race starts at the southern end of the park in La Jolla Canyon, which is 1 mile north on PCH from Sycamore Canyon. Please note that the course closes at 11:00 a.m., so you must finish before then.
The event field is limited to, so enter early!
Join our Ambassador for a preview run of the course on Sunday, Sept. 17 at 8:00 A.M. Meet at the Ray Miller Trailhead in the La Jolla parking lot on PCH. Check out the directions below if needed. This is a great opportunity to test out the race course, ask questions, and, meet new friends!

Packet Pick Up / Race Day Registration starts @ 6:30 a.m. at the race site.
YOU MUST BRING PROOF OF REGISTRATION TO PICK UP YOUR BIB! This includes: registration email, credit card statement, canceled check or email confirmation from Generic Events. No Exceptions!

Please do not bring your dogs. Point Mugu State Park does not permit dogs on any backcountry trails.

Water and Aid Stations
18k Aid Stations at miles 2.75, 3.5, 7.0, and 7.5. Carrying water is encouraged. All stations have water, Gatorade, Clif Bar and cheering. Toilets at start and finish.

There are plenty of local accommodations in Malibu, Calabasas or Oxnard – check out google! Thornhille Broome offers camping right across from the race start on PCH, check out ReserveAmerica.com for reservations and availability.
Directions / Parking
This race is held in La Jolla Canyon which is part of Pt. Mugu State Park at 9000 W. Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). Parking is along the Eastside of PCH (free!). The race start is within the Ray Miller Canyon trailhead parking lot. It’s a quick 5-10 minutes from PCH to the start, so plan accordingly!
From Santa Monica drive 34 miles NW on PCH or 21 miles West of Malibu Canyon Road on PCH to La Jolla Canyon (which is 1 mile north on PCH from Sycamore Canyon). It is approximately 8 miles South of Oxnard on PCH.
